I designed a closed photobioreactor with the following advantages,
1. High areal production.
2. Mass production of pure and transgenic strains.
3. Good gas hold-up.
4. Outdoor culture with efficient use of sunlight.
5. Good detoxification.
6. Mobility.
7. Good temperature and pH control.
8. Low maintenance cost.
9. Good utilization of culture medium.
10. With little modification could be used for H2 production.
11. 0% wastage of water. Saline water could also be used for culture.

Areas of Usage
1. Biomass production of high lipid containing pure or transgenic strains.
2. Mass production of transgenic and pure strains with high valuable medicinal products such as pigments, enzymes, secondary metabolites, etc.
3. Mitigation of carbon emission from industries.
4. Effluent treatment from industrial plants.
5. With little modification this reactor could be used for hydrogen production.
6. Mass cultivation of marine cyanobacteria using sea water possible.

Financial information

I want to sell this design. There are various industries producing nutraceutical, Pharmaceutical, biofuel, hydrogen, etc., using algae could use this for mass production of pure strains.
