A building block that is releasably attachable to another block of compatible design by wedging the tongue of one block into the groove of another block, without the need for any intermediate adhesives, bonding materials or any other means of holding the blocks together. The block includes a body, an outwardly-extending tapered tongue, and two inner surfaces that form a tapered groove therebetween. The tongue and groove have substantially the same taper. The top of the tongue is wider than the bottom of the groove. The base of the tongue is wider than the opening of the groove. A tongue and groove joint is also disclosed as well as methods for forming a tongue and groove joint. A base which includes a plurality of spaced-apart tongues and grooves is provided for use in supporting a plurality of building blocks thereon.

Stack & Stick is a brand registered with the U.S. patent office. The concept is designed for use as a toy in the construction category. The patent has a U.S. field of use. Stack & Stick is made in the USA and made from a recycled by product from the cabinet and furniture industry. The materials of use are solid wood, in species of ash, maple, and cherry.

Stack & Stick is uniquely designed to hold each building block in place with out falling apart. This concept allows each project to be moved from room to room after the project has been completed. Stack & Stick is made for ages 5 and up. downward pressure will hold each block in place while reverse pressure will break the blocks apart. You may build a wide selection of projects such as houses, barns, castles, bridges, and towers. Stack & Stick is 100% recycled and made in the USA. Safety tested to EN71 and U.S. safety standards of the CPSIA standards by a 3rd. party testing lab.

In Addition Stack & Stick has a license agreement in place with a different field of use for the technology used in the patent. This agreement will continue and is included within this patent sale. This is an income producing patent. A second license agreement is pending for 2014 for another field of use out side the toy category.

Marketing for Stack & Stick is sold through specialty toy, gift, museum, craft, hobby retail locations. Stack & Stick is also sold into catalog, and brick and motor locations through out the U.S. and canada. Mass accounts within Walmart are pending. Stack & Stick fills a necessary void to the mass and specialty accounts in the U.S.

Exporting. Stack & Stick has interest with distribution in the U.K., Germany, China, and others in Europe within the toy and education markets.

Manufacturing: Stack & Stick is made in the state of Indiana in the USA in a solid wood products plant. The product line has 11 sku's and can grow to as many as 50. The plant runs solid wood materials which make up the building blocks and package into sets for each item. Sets run from 40 pieces to 187 pieces. Price points are competitive within the toy markets and range from 19.99 - 26.99 and higher for peak holiday sales.
