[Category : - Automotive Accessories ]
[Viewed 2292 times]
A safety marker deployment system and method includes a plurality of safety markers is removably associated with a vehicle in a laterally pre-positioned array substantially corresponding to a desired lateral position on a roadway. The safety markers can be removably disposed in an elongated container mountable to the motor vehicle. A plurality of sequential ejectors is each associated with one of the plurality of safety markers to sequentially deploy the safety markers, while the vehicle is moving, in a longitudinal configuration substantially corresponding to a desired longitudinal position on the roadway. The safety markers a displaceable material disposed in a compliant compartment, and a visual indicator extending upwardly from the compliant compartment.
Financial informationI am selling my full US patent rights;
Emergency Warning Device Rapid Deployment System: US patent No. 7,108,446 B2.
PCT application: No. WO2005/091881 A2.
Descriptive Information:
Scenario:
An emergency vehicle first arrives at an incident scene, sometimes in very precarious and dangerous traffic situations. The personnal must attend to the incident and traffic safety almost simultaneously. If safety markers were in place upon arrival, it would give personnel peace of mind and the ability to focus on the immediate needs of the incident. R.E.D.S. deploys safety measures out early and a good distance from the stopped vehicles, adding some greatly needed safety features for drivers to focus on. Also alerting passing drivers to the emergency and possibly preventing another disaster.
Purpose:
R.E.D.S. was primarily innovated for emergency vehicles such as law enforcement, ambulances, roadway management, tractor trailer rigs and construction and maintenance, but lends its self well to the public sector - anyone who would feel safer, be it a 2 wheel vehicle to 18 or more. Includes water craft and snow machines as well. Hopefully, R.E.D.S. systems will make roadways safer for all.
R.E.D.S. is not intended for use in everyday traffic stops. This system was innovated, developed and engineered for situations where the driver feels unsafe during a stop where 4-way flashers or overhead lights are not adequate for the stops.
Solution:
R.E.D.S. systems rapidly deploys markers from a moving vehicle at high speeds if necessary, or even while the vehicle is stopped. A partial deployment system is also provided, which enables fast and easy hand access for additional cones or safety materials. This patent provides for activation, ejection, and the basic cone properties as well both add-on and built-in ejection containers and systems for a factory vehicle option.

This patent was issued September 19, 2006, and little marketing has been done at this point. This is a fantastic opportunity for a manufacturer and has outstanding licensing potential for an investor. First stage markets include not only law enforcement, but also interstate trucking, which require placing markers when stopped along a interstate highway. A prototype of R.E.D.S. has been tested and a 6 min. DVD movie is avaliable. The prototype is receiver hitch mounted, (like a travel luggage carrier) to the vehicle, and cable operated by the driver to activate the marker deployment system.
A non-refundable $10,000.00 deposit is required prior to my attorneys drafting the transfer and sale documents and the balance of $1,490,000.00 in US certified funds are due at the time of signing the transfer and sale documents which shall occur within 45 days after the $10,000.00 deposit is received. The $10,000.00 deposit can be paid using PayPal or Cashiers check. Buyer agrees to the above terms and conditions when the $10,000.00 deposit is paid.
