SUSTAINABLE SELF-ATTACHING BAG

[Category : - HUMAN NECESSITIES- DESIGN PATENTS- Advertising methods]
[Viewed 3544 times]

Present invention provides for self attachment of a sustainable fabric t-shirt bag to a usually stationary support frame by means of tabs that are secured across the midsection of the continuous integral looped handles that are laterally spaced and extending upward from the base. A hole is thereby created for the threading onto the rode supports of the check out frames. The four sides that project upwards from the base of said bag, form a front and back wall along with two sides created by a gusset, creating an open mouth between the bases of the pair of handles by which articles can be received, retained and carried within. This invention can replace the stacks of plastic grocery bags that are presently found on many store check out frames today and end up as liter all over our planet as garbage.

PATENT: PUBLISHED JANUARY 15, 2013. "GREAT LONG TERM MARKET POTENTIAL"

SUSTAINABLE SELF-ATTACHING BAG
CREATED TO REPLACE THE PLASTIC T-SHIRT BAGS FROM THE 1960'S
STILL IN USE TODAY AND STACKED ON MOST STORE CHECK-OUT FRAMES.

It is projected that by the year 2020, plastic bags will be banned throughout the United States. Many European countries already have such bans in place.
Legislation restricting both non-biodegradable plastic bags and paper bags that aren't at least 40% recycled, has been passed in all four counties of Hawaii; Kauai, Maui, Hawaii and Honolulu. Businesses have been given until 2015 to comply giving them time to adjust to a world without plastic. Most recently Los Angeles passed similar legislation as have other cities and townships in the United States. It has been rumored that Chicago is next in line.

Sustainable bags are just one answer to a variety of environmental issues caused by their littering of landscapes, waterways and endangering animals all over the planet. This old world charm bag has a very utilitarian quality about it intended for long term use. It is light weight at 3.5 ounces, holds the equivalent of two plastic bags of groceries, and carried comfortable when fully loaded unlike the plastic bags and their thin narrow handles.

Due to it's design, this SUSTAINABLE SELF-ATTACHING BAG is stackable right along side the plastic bags on the check-out frames and can be offered for sale to the consumer by cashiers, when customers are at the check out counter. Consumers have had many years to become familiar with the plastic T-Shirt bags. Transitioning over to a cotton version can easily be accomplished rather than with a variety of inferior made bags of all shapes and sizes which could slow down the checkout process. Patented for ease of use, familiarity and long term use, it's a win win situation for the consumer and retailers who use the SUSTAINABLE SELF-ATTACHING BAG.

Currently the bag is produced on a small scale in Michigan. National and world wide exposure could be possible with a large manufacturer who has the means and knowledge to produce it for a fraction of the current production cost. For over fifty years we have come to depend on the plastic T-Shirt bags stacked and stored for use on check-out frames throughout the world. Their success is remarkable, like nothing we have ever seen. "THE SUSTAINABLE SELF-ATTACHING BAG IS IT'S REPLACEMENT FOR THE FUTURE"

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The sustainable bags have been sold in my local community for six years to private individuals, commercial businesses, and e-commerce. Customers tell me that they "LOVE MY BAGS!" I hear this frequently. Please visit my website for additional information regarding this product.
