A residual current switching device comprising live and neutral terminals .Out going load terminals electrically communicable with the respective live and neutral terminals.It has a sensing element for sensing a nonzero sum of currents between the terminals.The sensing circuit controlling the switching device to open based on the signal.A timer circuit for automatically periodically outputting a test signal by setting of switching device which an alert signal is outputable following the output of the test signal.The timer circuit being manually settable by a user for a set time of day that the periodic test signal is outputted.The problem this solves is Regular testing of devices and ideal for planned maintanance for testing devices
