Reduce NOx, SOx, mercury, acid chlorides in coal plants
[Category : - ELECTRICITY & LIGHTING]
[Viewed 1992 times]
This technology has been patented.
This technology is an in furnace technology to reduce pollutants in coal combustion including NOx, SOx, mercury and acid chlorides. The technology can also be applied to gas plants for NOx control.
The advantage of this technology is the ability to distribute the additives to the proper temperature zone and provide thorough mixing with the furnace flue gas for optimized reactions. This is accomplished with slurries blown in with the proper momentum to avoid the problem of dead burning or sintering of additives. This allows much improved reductions of pollutants at a very affordable price. It is extremely cost effective for power plants where scrubbers and SCR are cost prohibitive.
