Infinitely variable gear transmission
[Category : - MECHANICAL ENGINEERING]
[Viewed 1910 times]
This is an automatic transmission system where there is no steps. In the present "automatic transmission" there are 4 or 5 gear steps. This means we have to choose any of these 5 gear ratios for a particular load condition. Obviously we choose from the available 4 or 5 ratios, the one above the exact requirement. It means we never apply the exact force. Always we apply a force which is more than required and waste fuel. The system is fully controlled by computers. In case you want to choose a higher ratio you can also do that by operating a key. You can choose any ratio depending on the load. The response to load change is very fast.
There is no gear lever. By operating a key you can move to reverse. By operating another key you can have high starting torque and so on. An improvement has also been filed for this in US. There are other 3 related Indian Patents also which will be sold along with this.
