EZ Wound Dressing For Mass-Casualties Schools & First Responders
[Category : - HEALTH- Life-saving; Fire-fighting- DESIGN PATENTS]
[Viewed 23 times]
Core Compression is a life saving triage, readily available to the public until medical professionals can arrive. It cleanly absorbs the blood and compresses the limb to stop the bleeding. Most gunshot victims do NOT die from the wound itself, they die from bleed out. As a victim and survivor of one of the first school shootings in 1997, my heart has a very tender spot for mass casualties and the innocent victims involved. 28 years later, and the protocols are still the same, with one exception, Stop The Bleed Campaign which infuriates me, it has no competitor (until me) it is confusing and complicated:, Core Compression is not complicated. I invented and patented a compression garment originally designed to stop bleeding after liposuction and to coagulate the blood from cannula holes safely, cleanly, and user friendly. My background is in plastic surgery. My product was successful in liposuction, tummy tucks, back surgery, mastectomy, top surgery, etc. It wasn't until after the mass shooting at Fort Hood, and a chance encounter on a plane, I met Chief JD Gardner, the first responder on the scene in Killeen. He educated me on how my product, Core Compression, would have saved several of his dying friends in a safe, timely manner. Again, most victims do NOT DIE from the gun shot, they die from the bleed out, just like my dear friend Lydia Dew did my senior year in high school.
This product is bigger than me. I have the passion and technology and gumption to get it and my story in front of ANYONE. I cannot however scale it, mass produce and distribute it. Someone with more means can me CAN easily. profit in many fields. I am simply one person and am extremely humbled and overwhelmed by all the ways my product can be used and help our world.
Provided is a method and system for bandaging an abdominal region of a patient. A method includes providing an abdominal binder and securing the abdominal binder about the abdominal region of a patient. The abdominal binder has an inner layer including an absorbent pad configured to contact and extend about at least a majority of the circumference of the abdominal region of a patient, and configured to absorb post-procedure fluids during use, and an outer layer including an elastic sheet of material for surrounding at least a portion of the inner layer and providing a compressive force to retain at least a majority of the inner layer against the abdominal region of the patient during use. The outer layer is about 70 to 130% of the size of the inner layer when the outer layer is provided in an unbiased state. The inner layer and the outer layer are coupled to one another at or near a first end of the inner layer and a first end of the outer layer, and a second end of the inner layer and a second end of the outer layer are configured to allow movement relative to one another.
Financial informationI am seeking a buyer or investor for my patented product, with a proposed 20-year agreement that includes an 8% share of gross sales. I am open to negotiation and willing to work collaboratively with the buyer, including participating in presentations, conferences, and client meetings to support marketing efforts and share the story behind the innovation.
Last spring, the Austin School Board expressed strong interest in acquiring Core Compression for every classroom in the district—an initiative that had the potential to expand statewide and ultimately nationwide. This interest confirms the product’s broad applicability and market demand. While I am confident in the product’s value and in my ability to represent it effectively, large-scale manufacturing and distribution are not within my current capacity.
It has been challenging to know that I am holding a solution with the potential to save lives, support surgical recovery, and significantly reduce both time and costs for surgeons, hospitals, and educational institutions. Despite its strong benefits, bringing this product to full scale requires resources and business infrastructure that extend beyond what I can manage independently.
With the right partner—someone with the operational, financial, and strategic capabilities to advance production and distribution—Core Compression can reach the markets that need it most. This represents both a meaningful opportunity to improve outcomes for countless individuals and a substantial financial opportunity for the right buyer.
