Smartdoser™ - measuring device for portioned pouring of liquids

Description of the invention
Smartdoser™ is an innovative device consisting of only a few basic parts, which hermetically closes containers with liquids like a lid, is partially inside the container (bottle) and partially outside, can change the amount of liquid that can or must be poured with an accuracy of one half a milliliter using a graduated piston, and the graduated piston is moved by the user's hand. The device can be made of plastic - polypropylene or polyethylene, does not require the use of different materials, gaskets and other additional components for production.
To use the device, install it instead of the lid on a container (bottle) with liquid, which must be poured in portions. Using a graduated piston (which has a scale with numbers in milliliters), the required amount of liquid for pouring in one portion is set on the dispenser. Then the container with liquid is turned over and directed to the dish or place for pouring, the lever on the device moves, and the specified amount of liquid is poured out of the dispenser to its destination. Then the lever returns to its initial position and the internal cylinder of the device is again filled with liquid for pouring new portions of liquid. If it is necessary to pour two or more identical portions of liquid, this is achieved by alternately moving the lever forward and backward, without changing the position of the container (bottle) with liquid. At the end of the pouring procedure, the container with liquid returns to its initial position.
It can be used to solve the following everyday tasks:
1. In the kitchen for precise measuring and pouring of necessary food liquids - oil, vinegar, liquid sauces.
2. For dosing and pouring precise portions of alcohol from bottles, both for drinking the drinks themselves and for making cocktails.
3. For pouring precise portions of washing liquids, conditioners, softeners into washing machines and for hand washing.
4. For pouring precise portions of mineral and synthetic oils, various additives into the gas tanks of motorcycles and scooters, chainsaws, lawn mowers, generators and other units where oils and additives are added directly to the gas tanks.
5. For dosing and pouring precise portions of liquid medications for their use and consumption directly by patients.
This solves the following problems when measuring and pouring the corresponding liquids:
1. The dispenser replaces the lid and measuring cup at the same time, which simplifies and speeds up the process of pouring liquids from the container, eliminating the need to unscrew and screw the lid, the inconvenience of pouring liquids into measuring containers, and washing them after pouring liquids.
2. It is impossible to overfill or underfill portions of liquid, because the volume of liquid being poured is set on the device in advance before pouring, and it can be changed in case of an error if the pouring process has not yet begun.
3. The liquid does not drip or splash when pouring, which is especially important when dosing oils and chemically active liquids. The liquid does not evaporate when pouring and does not emit harmful substances, since during the pouring process there is no direct contact with the environment and it does not remain on the walls of other measuring devices.
4. The design of the device allows pouring (dosing) all the liquid from the container, and the dispenser is easily moved to a new container with liquid.
5. To pour and dispense liquid using the device, only one finger of the hand holding the container or bottle is used to move the lever in both directions.
6. A special patented protrusion on the device prevents the liquid being poured from overflowing onto the piston of the device or outside the working area, which improves the convenience of pouring liquids.
Market compliance and potential
Thus, Smartdoser™ can be widely used to simplify the solution of various everyday tasks related to pouring liquids at home, and for other purposes. It can be manufactured for various container necks using various lids, which can be changed for use on one device, but for different container necks. Replacing the lids will not lead to a breakdown or deterioration in the operation of the device. If it is necessary to dispense larger or smaller portions of liquid, the device itself can be made larger or smaller with corresponding larger or smaller volumes of liquids for maximum liquid dosing volumes. In this case, the permissible dosing step can also be changed (not half a milliliter, but more or less than this). The necessary prototypes of the product have already been produced and tested, which made it possible to create and refine a mold for manufacturing device parts in small industrial volumes. In this case, all parts of the product are manufactured on one mold in one working cycle. This mold allows for the production of 2,700 dispensers per day.
But this mold is used to make only one cap for the product, which is suitable for specialized plastic bottles for edible oil, vinegar and sauces, as well as for plastic Coca-Cola bottles. To develop the use of the product in various fields, it is necessary to make another mold, which will only make caps for this version of the device, which will be suitable for containers with different unified necks.
Using a large selection of measuring cups, spoons, syringes and other devices for measuring the amount of liquids in no way improves or simplifies the use of liquids in various areas of human activity. Namely, the innovative Smartdoser™ device allows you to take a fresh look at the problem of dosing and measuring liquids, significantly and effectively simplify and improve processes that no one has previously paid sufficient attention to. And the simplicity and low cost of the device will allow it to reliably gain a foothold for use in the everyday life of people around the world. All parts of the device fit into one another during its assembly and are automatically fixed one into another, which allows you to create and manufacture an automatic assembly line for the product, and this will significantly reduce the cost of each manufactured unit of the device.

Smartdoser™ has a unique technology that can be used wherever it is necessary to pour liquids from containers, observing the amount of liquid to one degree or another. And this is a huge sales market around the world and the corresponding commercial benefit.
Measuring cups, spoons, syringes and other devices for measuring the amount of liquid have become an integral part of the lives of consumers around the world, but they are bulky to store, inconvenient to use, require a lot of time and effort, eye strain, additional movements and are not as accurate as the patented Smartdoser™ device can make all this. And this device can be used both as a separate product and as an addition to liquids that are sold in various containers, and as an already installed lid on containers when selling liquids.
The initial version of the device was patented as an invention (the patent is valid and belongs to the inventor) back in 2017, and after numerous significant modifications, it was registered in WIPO under the PCT system as an invention, has already been patented in Germany and Ukraine, and is currently undergoing the patenting process in the USA and India. The patented modifications made to the invention actually exclude the possibility of making significant changes to it, which could further allow competing with the existing product by patenting these changes and producing a product different from this invention.
In case of successful patenting of the invention in the USA and India, where applications have already been published, the intellectual property for this device will cover countries with more than 25% of the world's population. At the same time, the simplicity and low cost of the device will allow it to be widely used in various spheres of life, and those who will have exclusive rights to its sale and production will be able to obtain a significant commercial effect from this product. But, like any other innovative product that was not known before, this device requires a broad and multi-level advertising campaign so that consumers can understand its necessity in their lives and the significant benefits of its use.
