Solar Panel with Transparent Solar Cells and Reflective Flaps

[Category : - ELECTRICITY & LIGHTING]
[Viewed 75 times]

The solar panel with transparent solar cells and reflective flaps is a solar panel that efficiently produces electricity and it is intended for utility electricity generation and other electricity generating applications. The solar panel has a mirror on the bottom with the reflective surface facing upwards, above which are located transparent solar cells that absorb sunlight in two directions: up and down. The solar panel also has many sections with each section having a reflective flap on either end of a section, where the flaps are on top of the solar panel. Each flap is perpendicular to the longer sides of the solar panel and the reflective surfaces of the two flaps of a section face each other. The angles of the reflective flaps change to best reflect sunlight into the solar panel and reflect sunlight between the reflective flaps and into or back into the solar panel. The sunlight is reflected by the first reflective flap with some of the sunlight going into the solar panel and with some of the sunlight being reflected between the reflective flaps until the sunlight enters the solar panel, where the sunlight is then absorbed by the solar cells as it moves through the solar cells downwards, and then the unabsorbed sunlight is reflected off the bottom mirror and then is absorbed by the solar cells as it moves upwards, with most of the upward moving unabsorbed sunlight being further reflected between the reflective flaps and back into the solar panel, with the reflective process repeating until nearly all of the sunlight that enters the solar panel is used, and with more sunlight being added to the solar panel. As the solar panel uses nearly all of the sunlight that enters the solar panel, it uses the sunlight with a greater efficiency than that of current solar panels. The solar panel produces electricity without producing carbon emissions. Many of these solar panels could work together to produce a large amount of electricity to supply electricity to the utility grid.

The global annual market for electricity generation is $1.8 trillion. Most competitive electricity generating devices require costly inputs i.e. fuels to produce electricity, and since the solar panel does not require fuel to produce electricity, the solar panel should be highly competitive to most existing electricity generating devices, offering a lower cost of electricity. Since the solar panel does not produce carbon emissions when producing electricity, and as electricity consumers are price conscious and environmentally conscious, there should be a high demand for the solar panel.

The patent family for sale or license includes 1 granted U.S. patent (SOLAR PANEL SYSTEM, United States of America, 12,375,032, Expiration Date 2041), and a pending U.S. continuation patent application.
