Disclosed herein is a drain valve that includes a body having an upper opening. The drain valve further includes a valve located in the body having a valve opening that is alignable with the upper opening when the valve is in an open state. The valve is configured to release oil that enters the valve through the upper opening when the valve is in an open state. The valve is rotatable about the body in a first rotational direction to move the valve from the open state to a closed state. The valve is rotatable about the body in a second rotational direction opposite from the first rotational direction to move the valve from the closed state to the open state. A method of draining fluid from a system is also disclosed. My patented valve does not have any exposed handles or levers prone to getting hit open. The majority of this valve threads into an oil pan rather than being exposed to damaged. Simply unscrew the stainless cover. A simple twist at the bottom of the valve opens and closes as needed all my hand. I have a couple of finished and tested prototypes. These valves are designed for heavy truck and Diesel engines. I recently suffered a debilitating stroke so I’m at full stop to pursue. I do hold a second patent on an earlier version that goes with the sale. I have nearly $25,000 into all expenses.
