The original and now relevant patented educational toy
[Category : - DESIGN PATENTS- Toys and games- Educational]
[Viewed 86 times]
Piaget’s blanket was patented in 5/10/2011. This innovation was not known much previous to 2009 when filed. The name given to this innovation is a nod to Piaget’s theory. It is now relevant today and not grasped yet in 2009 that sensory application to early development was crucial. We now see the mainstream catching on and you see toys that apply sensory learning and the importance of that with children’s developmental processes. As the inventor and now mother of adult children, I would like to sell the rights to my patent whether that be licensing/royalties or full assignment..
The design comes in 4 stages, newborn, 6 to 24 months, 3years plus-7.
This is a plush, quality design and is two sided. Think pottery barn quality, land of nod was once following my Twitter. My invention was sold online as well as in consignment stores for a few years. The company had a long run of nine years and as it stay at home mom at the time I decided to put the company to rest and go back into the workforce. I’m a proud mother of three adult children. I would love to see this product come to full fruition and manufactured on a bigger scale. I’m interested in speaking to serious buyers who know about children’s cognitive development and who have an interest in educational toys for children.
This is the only patented children’s developmental toy and blanket in one. I’m currently seeing many portable toys that assist mothers and children on the go and I love that idea other than technology today however, my main point in inventing this product was to provide a one solution for the child with play and soothing aspects that would teach and develop a child’s mind at an early start.
