This is a low-cost system that ensures workers wear their helmets correctly at all times within any construction site, unlike current market products that only issue warnings or signals.
Safe production is the fundamental principle of all construction units, and properly wearing safety helmets is the first step toward achieving safe production. Therefore, the inspection of safety helmets is one of the essential daily inspections for construction units. However, due to varying levels of personnel quality, safe production guidelines are not always effectively followed in line with superior instructions. Some workers, who do not fully recognize the protective significance of safety helmets, often work without them in violation of safe production procedures, resulting in frequent incidents where safety helmets are not worn. The present invention discloses a safety helmet with smart chin straps, which can monitor the wearing status of the safety helmet, thereby avoiding the problem of arbitrary helmet removal by workers.
Currently, safety helmets or smart safety helmets on the market have not been able to ensure that workers wear them correctly at all times within the construction site. Workers may violate regulations and remove their helmets at any moment. Additionally, the cost of smart helmet monitoring systems is not only expensive, but not all construction sites can utilize them. Furthermore, the system only issues warnings; if workers ignore these alerts and continue to fail to wear their helmets properly, the helmets cannot fulfill their protective function. Moreover, the existing smart safety helmets on the market require manual monitoring at irregular or regular intervals, which wastes a considerable amount of time.
This invention has been patented in Taiwan, and applications are pending in China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Malaysia.
