After years of deployments and the use many different weapons systems, I decided to design a quick connect attachment for AK-47's that would allow not only for better functionality of the weapon, more accurate shooting by the operator, and a way to make the weapon overall more tactical, but also something that does not require any tools to attach.

History has shown that AK-47;'s are very rigid but reliable firearms. Any changes that need to be made to the components or frame of the AK-47 are hard to accomplish due to its heavy-duty design. In the past, to have a rail mount added to the side of an AK-47 you would need to take it to a machine shop, have rivets removed from the frame, and then from there the rail mount would be attached. This is no longer an issue with this design patent. Anyone can add the rail mount attachment on their own from the comfort of their home.

This design is the first of its kind. There is no other designs out there that exist for this purpose or placement on the AK-47. This also creates a monopoly because the design prevents anyone from being able to get a patent or design patent for anything that has the same hole patterns based on the rivet heads on the frame.

Financial information

For this design patent I am looking for an outright sale or a license with royalties or another potential form of partnership.

This product has not been previously sold or marketed to the public. This product was just recently patented with the plan to sell to a corporation and not the general public.

There is currently an estimated 100 million AK 47's in circulation with about only 50% of those having a rail mount already riveted on the side of them. Which leaves a potential for 50 million AK 47's that this part could be used on to allow the operator to attach a scope to their AK-47. At $50 for each unit, that is a potential of $25,000,000,000 if 100% of the market was reached. This product is also not recognized as a firearms part per the ATF. Up to this point, no one has ever created anything like it. It is a one of a kind.

There are no other pieces of intellectual property associated with this invention.
