(Abstract)
WCAS is a new generation system that has been taught of and planned
to enhance aircraft/personnel safety on ground to create efficient
operations.
WCAS warns pilots of incoming danger(collision) that will cause damage
& injury.
WCAS consists of Ultrasonic Ranging Module. The modules include
ultrasonic transmitters, receiver and control circuit. Ultrasonic
transmitters would be placed on the wings, tail and nose wheel. They are
configured to detect other traffic such as aircraft and other objects in the
vicinity of the aircraft on ground only. The working voltages are in range
with the aircraft parameters electrical systems.
The system will be incorporated on the winglets, tail and nose wheel of
the aircraft with multiple sensors in use without interfering with any other
system on the aircraft.
The sensors must be kept in plane sight. This is to ensure that the
system does not produce any errors or enormous readings.
The system can be incorporated with the auto brake system to add as
an extra safety to operations, in case of imminent danger, the system
immediately activates the braking system and will remain on until
manually disarming the system.
After careful movement is proceeded, consultation with the ground crew
can be continued to move the aircraft.

Upon thorough investigation carried out in recent times. It has showed that there isn't
a competent system put in place or in use to protect aircrafts on ground therefore
witnessing many accidents and incidents on ground at various airports. This
technology put in place now covers all aircrafts on ground to prevent collision with
any other aircraft or objects.
What it covers
(1) The system designed covers the aircraft as a whole through sensors placed on
the wings
(2) Provides a 360-degree coverage of the aircraft on ground
(3) Supports an audible warning sound in the cockpit to alert crew able to identify
other aircraft on ground.
(4) Aircrafts exiting active runways or entering runways
(5) aircrafts taxiing to and from gate/stand states
(6) Distance between aircrafts
