Researching possibilities for innovation in fine finishes, I developed a project called “3D Cutting”, which consists of laser cutting a multilayer material (paper + EVA foam) with a permanent tack adhesive. This method allows for cuts that suggest a 3D effect, as can be seen in the attached images. The result offered is different from what is already being used in the market, which is an EVA rubber coated with glitter. The solution effectively offers the 3D effect and the sensation that the shapes and texts are "floating" over the sheet, and this is due to the black EVA base.

This project had its patent filed in the United States, Germany, France, Australia, Brazil and has already been granted in the Netherlands. I believe that what is being proposed can be very useful for the packaging, bag and publishing industries and also in the decoration and crafts markets.
