This invention outlines a method to enhance the performance of a wellbore system. The system features a drill pipe through which fluid flows, and an optical fiber positioned outside the pipe to monitor conditions. Fluid flow is managed by an outlet valve and/or an injection valve.

The method involves two main steps:
(1) Signal generation: Light signals, preferably polarized, are sent through the optical fiber. These signals generate two orthogonal backscatter signals that provide information about the system's conditions.
(2) Valve control: The backscatter signals are analyzed to adjust the outlet and/or injection valves, ensuring precise control of fluid flow.

This approach enables real-time monitoring and dynamic adjustment, improving the wellbore's operational efficiency and safety.
