A new cheap biodiesel fuel has been developed and patented in leading countries of the world (Russia, USA, China, Germany and Brazil). The basis of the fuel is diethylformal, which is chemically similar to dimethyl ether, an ecological gas diesel fuel. Unlike dimethyl ether, diethylformal is a liquid and mixes with vegetable oils and hydrocarbons in any ratio. The use of diethylformal has many advantages over analogues, but the main one is a 6-fold reduction in the content of nitrogen oxides in the exhaust.
