The subject matter of this invention relates to a medical device that is incorporated into newly manufactured ultrasound scanners or supplied as an accessory, in order to enable the practitioner to apply the gel to the patient easily and quickly.
The device consists of a gel deposit, a dispensing unit with an electric pump, gel conduction tubes connecting the deposit to the pump and the pump to the dispensing device, as well as a gel dispensing control system, complemented by the necessary accessories and electrical connection cables.
The control of gel dispensing on the patient's body is resolved by using either a push button, installed on the ultrasound table, a pedal, or a trigger located directly where the gel comes out.
