This Patent is a low-friction rolling bearing trigger mechanism used in place of a typical high-friction metal-to-metal sear. This allows a low-energy light-feel pull force trigger with a short and constant smooth travel.

Triggers are not just for guns and firearms, but are also used to control many other devices from tools such as saws, drills, sanders, and toys to high powered machinery and equipment such as clutches, turbines, valves, and engines. This patent takes triggers to the next generation by creating a rolling trigger that uses a roller bearing or bearings with very low friction to move to an over-center trip-point position of the trigger sear to release a very high-force striker/armature assembly that transforms high static, potential stored energy into a high-dynamic, released energy. The result is that there is no hint of the approaching trigger release point with no changes in trigger pressure over the trigger’s travel distance, ensuring precise activation of the device, with no sense to the user that may create an impulsive jerk or fear.

This patent also includes counterbalance weights to prevent external forces such as vibration or shock from false triggering or an unwanted trigger event, as well as a remote-controlled solenoid, or a moveable link to an armature, piston or striker, or firing pin. The invention additionally provides a storage of very high-static or potential energy to easily be released into high-moving or kinetic energy.
