TRACTOR QUICK HITCH ATTACHMENT FOR TRAILERS AND AG IMPLEMENTS

[Category : - Automotive Accessories - Agriculture- DESIGN PATENTS]
[Viewed 491 times]

This is actually a package of two patents: USPTO #11,427,046 is a METHOD for securing a coupling apparatus to a tractor's 3-point quick hitch. (a smaller, unique hitch system and storage holster) and USPTO #11,731,472 which is the IMPLEMENT itself that uses the above METHOD of attachment.

This was designed to solve the problem of not being able to carry smaller, frequently used implements with you on your tractor while working in the field. For example, the apparatus or implement in USPTO # 11,731,472 is designed to work in concert with the method of attachment in USPTO #11,427,046 and is a trailer mover for gooseneck trailers, bumper trailers and for use as a mini-boom pole to lift and drag heavy objects on the farm. Common trailer movers utilize all 3 mounting points of a quick hitch and are unnecessarily bulky and thus are rarely with the operator when needed at a moment's notice.

The benefit of this design is that it allows operators to carry this implement, and any others that may be designed that utilize the patented METHOD of attachment, with them on their tractor's quick hitch in a holster. When needed, the IMPLEMENT can be quickly accessed and installed/utilized and is NOT back at the shop with all of the other large implements. Another benefit is that one universal design can fit almost all quick hitches, regardless of manufacturer, with only slight shimming. Lastly, this hitch/implement system is small and light enough that distributors aren't necessary, making direct sales to the customer a possibility, thus increasing margins.

In the pictures below, the High Ball Hitch receiver portion, hitch holster and removable implement are in YELLOW on the John Deere quick hitch. Another holster and different implement design could be mounted on the other side of the quick hitch center lift hook that is currently unused. This would allow carrying two separate implements with the operator at all times. The last picture is of what the market currently offers. As you can see, this is bulky and usually where pictured when you need it......in the shop.

Financial information

I would prefer to exclusively license these patents for production, marketing and distribution to a United States/Canadian company looking to expand their ag portfolio with a truly unique item with high volume and margin potential. Patents cover United States and Canada.

I currently work for a large John Deere dealership and this idea has been field tested and well received by customers. I am in the process of coming up with the most efficient design for mass production.

I would be open to other implements being designed by the licensee, utilizing the patented method of attachment, at a lower royalty rate.

HighBallHitch.com is a reserved domain and I am set up to do business as High Ball Hitch LLC in Missouri.
