This see-saw nearshore wave energy capture system can generate out-of-phase behavior between its fore and aft floats allowing for increased energy production and the floats staying well "attached to the wave surface" for optimal capture even with a large/powerful generator that tends to produce opposing damping force. The seesaw system also prevents the need for restorative components (springs etc), leading to greater reliability. One feature is the ability to change float spacing between two spherical floats of the see-saw to adjust to different sea-states and maximize rotational motion produced at the pivot, and conversely, severe wave conditions would warrant the minimization of rotational motion by minimizing float spacing.

An array of this system can be used under a platform at sea to mitigate the turbulence of said platform while also generating energy (see later patent images), wherein the platform can carry a wind tower, or be a transportation platform.
