Implantable cochlear implant housing and intracochlear electrode

We have created a next generation of implantable auditory system (cochlear implant) consisting of: 1. Hermetic implantable thin profile Titanium housing, matching any existing commercial equivalent. The housing is equipped with up to 24 independent electrical outputs. It is also equipped with a flexible external telemetry antenna. This system can accommodate any electronic module (IPG). Encapsulation is designed to suvive lifetime implantation inside the body. 2. Multichannel micro electrode equipped with up to 22 individual contacts. Each electrode contact of this design has large surface area of 0.5mm square to allow safe stimulation. Both items 1 and 2 come with full design files and complete propretiary manufacturing technology. The package of housing and electrode was created with the intention of providing the most difficult elements of technology to new startups interested in joining the cochlear implant industry which is constantly growing. The design concept and propretiary technology can be easly adapted to other implantable active microstimulators.
