A water wheel for the production of electricity comprising at least one water wheel post member, an axle provided at one end of said water wheel post member, a wheel arm plate disposed on said axle, an outer wheel member connected to said wheel arm plate through plurality of wheel arms and plurality of buckets provided on one end of said wheel arms wherein said wheel arms are provided with counter weights, said buckets has an elongated cone configuration and provided with partitions in order to minimize water splashing and maximize weight and force applied to said plurality of buckets and said water wheel is made of corrosion resistant material taken from the group consisting ofstainless steel, galvanized iron and plastic.
