Robotic Conductor of Business Operations AI Software

[Category : - SOFTWARES]
[Viewed 530 times]

This is an innovative patent of the category “NO PRIOR ART” based on AI but was much ahead of its time when it was patented four years ago. It has remained unsold due to general disbelief that a computerised system cannot take over human’s role in managing and controlling workflows robotically. But due to rapid development of computer and communication technology in recent years this software is now truly capable of working robotically making a breakthrough in the history of computing.

The technology used in this patent is AI (Artificial Intelligence) which forms the basis of a real time 24x7 computerised system for operating fully automatically like a robot to manage and control all workflows of an organisation. This automated system works on its own being totally devoid of human control and interception. Rather the automated system itself decides to intercept human staff of the organisation and even control them as and when needed through a Human Interface Gate (HIG) enabled for two-way communication between the automated system and relevant human members of the organisation from top level authorities to working staff members involved in workflows.
Imparting necessary AI to the automated system is done by modelling an AFC (Activity Flow Chart) for each of the diverse business operations of the organisation like “Sell a product”, “Purchase a raw material”, “Repair a machine” and so on. This needs to be done by the user organisation prior to installation of the system. AFC has two types of activities namely Process and Event. Process flow in AFC is same as workflow and events are either external such as order received from a customer or internal when a process (workflow) is completed such as “ordered product is checked to be in stock”.
The AFC also shows branching of process flows depending on result of the previous process. For example if the result of the process “Check order against stock” is affirmative (in stock) then process flow branches towards something like “Arrange dispatch, notify customer, update accounting database activating order”. Alternatively if the result is negative (not in stock) then process flow branches towards something like “Reject order, notify customer, update accounting database cancelling order”. This software has a built-in program for imparting intelligence of such information contained in the AFC to the automated system at the initial stage of installation.
Another key aspect of the software is to acquire AI from the human authorities of the organisation during run time of the system. This is done as follows.

1. The system has the provision for setting up normal completion time for each workflow process during installation when using built-in program for imparting information in the BAF as stated earlier.
2. During the course of a process the system monitors elapsed time by the human staff members. If confirmation of completion of the process is conveyed to the system within the normal time limit, next process is automatically initiated by the system.
3. However, if no confirmation of completion of the process is sent to the system within normal completion time, the system starts communicating with a designated human authority of the organisation which had been set up during installation. This communication is done through a direct communication link installed in the Human Interface Gate (HIG) of the system. On receiving the alert message about non-completion of a process, the designated human authority sends their advice about what system should do at this point.
4. Instances of advice sent by the designated high authority are:
- Allow more time (specified) because of an operational problem.
- Tell staff to come back to you with further information regarding their problem within a time limit.
- Abandon this process totally because of an unsurmountable problem at that point in time. No further processing in that particular business operation thread will be managed and monitored by the system.
Any such advice received by the automated system is passed on to human staff members involved in the process. The automated system remembers all communication received from high authorities for this type of process.
5. Next time if no confirmation is received within normal time for the same type of process, the robotic system verifies with the human staff if any of the actions taken previously as advised by high authorities is appropriate in the present case. If “yes” the process continues as before. But in case none is appropriate, the automated system again contacts relevant high authority for further advice and adds further intelligence in its memory.
6. The robotic system continues to operate in this manner by acquiring new AI during run time.

This is a rare “No Prior Art” innovation to make a revolutionary impact in the computing world by robotically managing man in conducting the workflow processes of an organisation.

I want to sell for commercialising the patent as I do not have resource to do on my own.

By me to AST IP3. Not sold due to disbelief currently prevailing generally about the concept of “Machine taking over Man”.
However, I have provided an example of technological sufficiency for working of the system in the current real life situation. This real time system serves as a robotic conductor and co-ordinator of the chosen business operations of any organisation eliminating need for manpower to do so and can also provide up to the minute information about status of all chosen business operations.

A brief description of an example of application of the software illustrating interaction of the robotic AI system and external human staff members in the day-to-day working ofthe 24x7 real time system.
Organisation: A Paints manufacturer
Daily and frequent business operations are chosen for application of this software.
Occasional business operations such as repair a machine, recruit a staff etc are not
included.
Chosen business operations:
1. Periodic Production Planning
Estimated time in database set up at installation from AFC (Activity Flow Chart)
- Periodic alert sent to manager production planning.
- If completed during estimated time next business operation process is
activated which in this example is “Manufacture as per production plan”
.
Else communicate with the General Manager about delay and proceed with
their advice after storing advice in AI memory database.
2. Manufacture as per production plan
- Periodic alert to Factory Manager to start manufacturing cycle.
- Relevant staff members are asked to start manufacturing a batch of paint.
- Estimated processing time time is in database for each batch e.g. Dulux
Brilliant White, Pixie Green etc that includes:
• Milling and mixing
• Refining colour e.g. by instrumental colour matching
• Filling different sizes of tins
- If a batch is completed in time then next batch is initiated.
- If not, Factory Manager is alerted for advice. Proceed according to his advice
which is stored in AI memory database.
3. Sell paint
Alert sent to the automated system by Sales teams of different product groups
and regions on receiving an order from a customer. Customers are wholesale customers registered with the company.
Processes involved:
- Check stock by the system.
- If in stock, system updates accounting database by accepting order and
sends alert to warehouse manager for despatching.
- If out of stock system cancels order, informs customer.
4. Despatch
- Alert sent to warehouse manager for despatching.
- Staff members of warehouse start despatching process.
- If despatched within estimated time then system updates accounting
database for payment.
- Else contact warehouse manager for advice and proceed as advised after
storing advice in AI memory database for automatically repeating advice next
time.
5. Buy raw materials
- Alert sent to purchase team.
- If delivered with proper quality and quantity within estimated time then
System updates accounting database for payment.
- Else contact Purchase General Manager for advice and proceed as advised after storing advice in AI memory database for automatically repeating advice next time.

Financial information

Tremendous saving in manpower cost is the main financial aspect of this paten. Just one real time computerised system managing and controlling all diverse business operations of an organizations round the clock offers unimaginable benefits to any organisation.
