Post Support Sleeve

This is an aluminum or galvanized steel sleeve that slides over the end of a wooden post and is fastened to the post with lags or other equivant fasteners. The sleeves have drain holes at the bottom to allow moisture to escape and traction knobs to prevent unwanted movement during installation. After the sleeve is fastened to the post installment is the same as always, with the exception of the first 6" of fill to be either dirt or sand allowing the drain holes to function properly. This sleeve will help slow the deterioration of the post but the main purpose is to make post replacement fast, easy, and inexpensive. When the post needs replaced simply remove the lag screws securing the post to the sleeve and slide the post out. Now the new post is ready to be installed without having to use heavy equipment as would be the case without the Post Support Sleeve. Without this sleeve yards get damaged due to heavy equipment coming in to remove post/concrete and ussually requires contractors. Now the new post can be installed by simply sliding it into the exsisting Post Support Sleeve without: stringlining, digging, leveling, cementing or damage to the yard. The Post Support Sleeve can be used for privacy fences, mail box post, decks, ect. The Post Support Sleeve can also be used for pole barn construction and would allow the contractor to pour concrete slabs for the pole barn prior to errecting the pole barn frame. This would allow contractors to power trowel concrete all the way over the edge of the base board saving time and labor hand troweling. It allows contractors to stand poles without bracing saving valuable time. County/state highway & road departments will be able to use these sleeves for sign replacement without calling in locates. This is a huge savings in time and money.
