Chain Cleaner Brush

[Category : - OTHER- Automotive Accessories - Biking]
[Viewed 373 times]

This invention is a system of brushes for cleaning and lubricating chains and transmission belts of motorcycles, bicycles and chains or belts generally having similar characteristics.
In particular, the invention consists of a brush with a particular shape that is easy to handle and at the same time is able to wrap all four sides of a chain simultaneously including the most difficult to reach opposite to the user's position. This tool allows you to clean the chain without having to disassemble it and in a simpler and faster way than existing systems.
The purpose of this invention is to simplify and speed up the tedious but essential cleaning and greasing of the transmission chain of motorcycles and bicycles.
2. The state of the art
The transmission chain used to transfer energy from the engine or pedals to the driving wheel of a motorcycle or bicycle is for most of its exposed surface. For this reason, during the march, the chain accumulates dirt. The material deposited on the chain and between its rings causes a reduction in performance, an increase in consumption and an early wear of the same chain.
Therefore, said chain must be cleaned and lubricated regularly the more it is used.
Cleaning and lubrication can be done by disassembling the chain or leaving the chain on the vehicle resting on a stand that lifts the rear wheel. Spinning the wheel with a brush or sponge or cloth resting on the chain proceeds with cleaning and lubrication in two distinct phases.
First cleaning with a cleaning liquid to remove dirt and previous lubrication.
Lubrication takes place at a later stage using spray cans or lubricant cans with a special spout making the wheel spin and treating the chain as it flows.
The previous techniques and tools use common brushes or brushes or devices that require an installation around the chain to then slide it inside or the separate brushing of each side of the chain.
These systems make the operation long and laborious.
