Flavoxate anthelmintic activities
[Category : - HEALTH]
[Viewed 508 times]
Flavoxate is a well known drug for its use for urinary incontinence but it has never been tried as anthelmintic for example.
We have found a possible new indication for flavoxate which is anthelmintic.
We have tested this activity against the highly resistant nematode Haemonchus contortus L3 larvae in vitro and the results were promising.
Flavoxate may have a possible antimicrobial activity as well but I didn't test these activities against any known pathogenic bacteria or protozoa but we have noticed that when flavoxate at a concentration of 100 micrograms per m? was added to a sample containing cillates all of them died within five minutes.
I have protected this new knowledge through obtaining a certificate from the WIPO intellectual property office at Khartoum, Sudan. The Arabic version could be kindly send upon request while I will obtain the English one within a week if Allah ( The God) is willing.
I would be glad to sell you this certificate for the sum of 263000$ ( two hundred sixty three thousand dollars), negotiable, given the potential market size which includes at least the veterinary usage of this drug.
Thank you very much and best wishes
Ahmed Ibrahim Mohamed Ibrahim
