This invention relates to a continuous ultrasonic washing method and apparatus for small parts in manufacture. It more particularly relates to washing small manufacture parts in an apparatus requiring small volumes of water, no cleaning detergents, and an efficient ultrasonic transducer system where the ratio of ultrasonic power per volume of water is at a level well above that for other ultrasonic washers in use today.

Flo-matic corporation has developed and patented technology for use in the industrial parts cleaning industry. The technology the Company has developed cleans parts in a chemical-free environment with small amounts of water and sonic energy. Selected by R & D Magazine, as One of The Most Technologically Significant New Products of the Year 200 for the Development of “No-Chemistry” Cleaning Machines, Flo-Matic is the only cleaning company to receive this award in its 40-year history.

Independent validation by the Toxic Use Reduction Institute (TURI) at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell was accomplished in 2002 and shows that Flo-Matic’s No-Chemistry technology cleans better than conventional chemical cleaning.

The market for industrial parts cleaning machines is $1 billion in the United States and $3 billion on a worldwide basis.
