It is a new way to interface.
Our creation is a wristband, which uses advanced electronics to capture the movement of the fingers, without a glove. By utilizing a material known as Velostat, to make contact with the skin at strategic points in the wrist, full gesture detection of the fingers is made possible in realtime.The device operates through the latest Invensense 9 axis Motion sensor chip, in order to capture the rotation and orientation of the user´s wrist.

There would be no need for a mouse or remote control when using Omniband. By pairing the wristband to other devices, it won´t be necessary to actually touch a mouse or a screen. It works exactly as if your hands and fingers were really in contact with these surfaces. Omniband also makes creating 3D prototypes easyer. Instead of a cursor, the user is able to use the device to do full 3d interfacing by virtually grabbing the object, and shaping it with a more natural kind of control. Omniband is not limited to one market since it offers various applications, which mean it can and should be further developed acording to the necessities of the enterprise that purchases a licence.

The possibilities for its use are numerous. Via bluethooth, BluethoothLE or Wi-Fi, it can be paired with any technology, such as desktop computers, videogames, smartTVs, robotics, prosthetics, etc.
