Use torque instead of crank for your semi-trailer landing gear
[Category : - Tools]
[Viewed 655 times]
This is a cost-effective way to raise and lower the semi-trailer landing gear. This is a very simple device that uses a power torque impact driver, with a torque clutch or an e-clutch (for the operators personal protection.), to raise or lower the landing gear on a semi-trailer. At the same time it leaves the crank handle accessible as a standard option. If the operator desires to crank the trailer up or down due to a low battery in the impact driver, or for some other reason, the device simply has a quick disconnect and the handle is ready to crank. there is no searching for the crank handle or bolting the crank handle onto the cranking spindle.
It's quick, easy, simple but very effective.
It can help the operator raise and lower the landing gear without cranking the handle which can often caused shoulder pain or injury.
There are other devices on the market that are much more expensive or that require removing the handle altogether and storing it somewhere else.
The benefit is that the handle is right there when needed. It's safety chain keeps it in place if it isn't properly stored.
