TRIPLE-R SYNTHETIC WOOD

[Category : - Construction Processes & Equipment- Furnitures]
[Viewed 477 times]

“TRIPLE-R Synthetic Wood” is a versatile composite obtained from solid organic waste, made in 36 recipes, with densities ranging from 100 to 3,200 kg/m3, 100% environmentally friendly and entirely recyclable.

“TRIPLE-R Synthetic Wood" is a composite that can completely substitute wood because it has all the qualities of this latter (and many additional ones) but without also having the flaws of the same. By pouring this composite into forms and formwork, an infinity of heat-insulating products of any size and surface, with continuous and/or discontinuous reinforcements made of various materials (or without reinforcement) can be obtained, eliminating a multitude of costly working operations.
This new composite is obtained by a process which, by means of some chemical and physical methods, alters the organic waste entering the composite recipe, resulting in a new structure with physical & mechanical qualities superior to all the physical & mechanical qualities of natural wood and partially the ones of concrete, with many other qualities that neither wood nor concrete has.

GROUPS OF ORGANIC WASTE THAT CAN BE USED AS A RAW MATERIAL

• Waste arising from logging;
• Waste arising from agriculture, forestry, horticulture, vegetable growing, etc.;
• Waste arising from woodworking;
• Certain categories of plastics waste;
• Organic waste arising from demolition;
• Paper & cardboard waste, in any form;
• Packaging waste made of organic materials, etc.

EXAMPLES OF CONVENTIONAL INDUSTRIAL PROCESSES BY MEANS OF WHICH PRODUCTS MADE OF "TRIPLE-R SYNTHETIC WOOD" CAN BE OBTAINED

“TRIPLE-R Synthetic Wood” can be industrially obtained by introducing the waste specified in the manufacturing recipe that is to be produced into the manufacturing process, each and every waste in the quantities and with the granulation & humidity specified in the respective recipe. The resulting paste is further processed by using one of the below-listed conventional processes, and thus the desired product is obtained and which will have the physical and mechanical qualities that the respective product must meet.

Industrial processes by means of which products are obtained from the organic waste paste (depending on the recipe to be produced):
• Pouring and vibrating into continuous formwork, with or without reinforcement;
• Freely cold or heat casting into moulds, with or without reinforcement;
• Cold or heat pressure moulding, depending on the product that is to be manufactured;
• Extrusion;
• or Injection;
• or Rolling out into reinforced or non-reinforced sheets.

Products obtained in this way have qualities that recommend their use instead of the currently manufactured ones, being environmentally-friendly, fully recyclable and cheaper than these latter. Thus, a global product industry using this new environmentally-friendly, recyclable and inexhaustible in time raw material, i.e., the solid organic waste, in whatever form it is found in the environment, can be developed in the future.

EXAMPLES OF PRODUCTS THAT CAN BE MADE OUT OF THE NEW COMPOSITES
1) Heat-insulating Decorative Cladding / Panelling with thicknesses up to 50 mm that don’t support combustion;
2) Products for the interior and / or exterior Furniture Industry, at any quality level and with whatever finish;
3) Interior and / or exterior Flooring of any kind and for whatever traffic;
4) Building Materials in the form of blocks, panels, etc.;
5) Whatever non-durable, semi-durable or durable product that is currently made of natural wood or wood-substitutes, and some of the products that are currently made of concrete, clay, plastics, etc.;
6) Monolithic Buildings of any type and for whatever purpose, made by pouring the “TRIPLE-R Synthetic Wood” composite into continuous formwork on the customers’ building sites, with continuous or discontinuous (as the case might be) reinforcement made of metal, wood splinters, glass fibre or carbon fibre, etc., or without reinforcement, which can be placed on any surface, in any area of the globe, regardless of the climate in that area.
7) Modular Buildings of any type and for whatever purpose, made of reinforced or non-reinforced (as the case might be) standardised components assembled by bonding, which can be placed on any surface and anywhere on this planet: on sand, in eternally or periodically frozen areas (a building for such areas will have a climate of its own and an energy generating source), and / or on water (floating and mobile buildings). Heat or cold bonding (as the case might be) between the components is made with an adhesive specially invented from organic waste and 100% environmentally friendly. Thus, the connection elements that are currently used for joining, such as hangers, angles, bolts, nails, mortar etc., are no longer needed. The bond is definitive and much more resistant than a joining with the aforementioned connection elements, thus many materials and costly labour being eliminated. Water does not enter through the bond. The buildings made in this way are water resistant and do not support combustion. Also, they are far superior in terms of resilience to all natural disasters.

Some of the qualities that a building made of “TRIPLE-R Synthetic Wood” composites meets whether it is made by pouring the composite material into continuous formwork or by joining and bonding the standardised components made on a manufacturing line by using one of the above-exemplified processes:
? Such a building is similar (or lighter, as the case might be), in terms of weight, to wooden buildings if it does not have any reinforced components. It does not require cumbersome and costly foundations. It can be easily transported by road, by water or by air without being damaged it in any way.
? Buildings made of the new “TRIPLE-R Synthetic Wood” composite do not support combustion and do not absorb water to the extent that they can be structurally damaged by this
? It can be placed on any surface and in any area of the planet, regardless of the climate in the respective area, and can also be floating and mobile on water or land;
? It can be energy independent and / or can have a climate of its own (independent of that in the surrounding environment) if built under a dome or a pyramidal structure made, at it’s turn, with standardised panels of various geometric shapes, consisting of frames made of the same “TRIPLE-R Synthetic Wood” and transparent materials (see examples in the video attached to this presentation).
? The low heat transfer of the “TRIPLE-R Synthetic Wood” composites, as well as the other physical-mechanical qualities of the same, give the building a very high thermal insulation and sound absorption, thereby saving significant amounts of money that are otherwise spent on thermal & acoustic insulation of the conventional buildings, but also material values required for maintaining the building (read the below-listed physical & mechanical qualities).
? Assembling and joining of the standardised components for any kind of building are made by bonding the components to one another, or to one another and other materials which they need to be joined with (e.g., with the pane of glass, if needed).
? The building can be coloured in its structure in any colour range from the pouring stage, or be finished conventionally post construction.
