A safer way to sand
[Category : - OTHER- Automotive Accessories - Tools]
[Viewed 727 times]
The USA and Canada coated abrasives market for industrial and automotive use is around $10 billion annually. Abrasive discs used on palm sanders have gotten thinner and more profile over the years and have created a safety hazard for operators and parts. These sanders spin at 12,000 rpm and the edge of discs stick out of the sander basically act like a small blade. Injuries occur when fingers and other body parts accidentally come into contact with them. Parts are also damaged when sanding into a 90 degree angle. My design is an abrasive disc that fits on a sander over all of the edges of the back up pad such that the disc itself does not have a sharp edge which can cause injuries or damage parts.
These are 2 real problem is these markets solved by my design.
Financial informationI am looking for an outright sale. This invention has not been previously sold or marketed and the market is estimated to be up to $18,000,000 in sales after launch and marketing. I'm also available for assistance on how to manufacture, where to manufacture, and naming the product.
