US Patent N: 8,492,918
Hybrid water pressure energy accumulating tower(s) connected to a wind turbine or power plants N: 8,492,918
A hybrid water pressure energy accumulating, tower assembly used to directly propel water pumps to raise water from low elevation reservoir(s) to high elevation reservoir(s) where it is used as a potential energy. The tower is electrically connected and positioned next to or close to a wind turbine or a wind or solar power plant. The tower includes in-tower storage reservoirs configured for storing water. The in-tower storage reservoirs could be defined by lower and upper water storage containers attached to the inner or outer surface of the tower that might be connected to other neighboring reservoir(s). The lifted water is used to generate electricity utilizing a hydropower generator.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
How much Energy can you store? What is Energy? Joules in 1 KW
What is Energy?
To lift 1 kg up 1 meter you need 10 watts of energy.
To lift 1000 kg or 1 ton or 1 cubic meter of water up 1 meter you need 10,000 watts of energy = 10 kw (kilowatts) this is in 1 second.
Power is different from Energy.
- Energy is the total amount of power.
- Power is the rate at which the work is done with respect to time.
For example, when a light bulb with a power rating of 10w is turned on for 1 hour, the energy used is 10 wh (watt-hours).
10w also means !0 wh (watt-hours) for a light bulb with a power rating of 10w.
To turn this Energy into Power you need time. So then, no matter how long it takes, to lift 1 kg up 1 meter you still need 10 watts of energy. But if you do it for 1 hour you need to divide that time by 3,600 seconds.
10w divided by 3,600 sec = 0.002777 or apr. 0.0028 kg or liter of water which is 2.8 cubic meter of water.
- A 10w light bulb needs 2.8 cubic meters of water up to 1 meter (in 1 hour)
- A 100w light bulb needs 28 cubic meter of water up to 1 meter (in 1 hour)
- A 1000w or 1kw light bulb needs 280 cubic meters of water up to 1 meter. (in 1 hour)
------------------
Average worldwide consumption of energy is 50kw (kilowatts) per person per day. This is 5 swimming pools up to 1 meter.
For 100 people you need 5 swimming pools up 100 meters.
For a city of 10,000 people you need 500 swimming pools up 100 meters.
The Olympic size swimming pool is 50 meters by 25 meters by 2+ meters.
An American Football Field Is 160 Feet Wide And 360 Feet or or 5000 square meters. A swimming pool is 1,250 sq.m. This is apr. 4 swimming pools.
For a city of 10,000 people you need 500 divided by 4 = 125 football fields of water deep 2 meters lifted up 100 meters.
That is one reservoir of 125 football fields
