GRAINBOW - Multi Coloured Wholegrain Bread and Baked Goods

[Category : - Food]
[Viewed 497 times]

There's something amazing in the way kids can find sweets and treats when grocery shopping, well at least that's the way it seemed to me with my kids. It was as though my children had a junk food radar that enabled them to spot sugary and unhealthy treats in all corners which they then begged to have. They were difficult to resist at that age and perhaps a little now.
Marketing and the use of colour psychology in marketing has had a profound effect on consumerism. Our children are lured and drawn to 'junk' food for a range a reasons, largely impacted by the use of bright colours in food and packaging. The clever marketing has led to a high consumption of sugary and low nutrient foods which have contributed to obesity and other health problems in children.
We have created Grainbow® to offer children a fun and appealing alternative to a staple food that is also nutritious. Grainbow® has adopted the principles of colour psychology to create a whole new style of bread that pops with colour and is aesthetically appealing for children.
Our patented method uses natural colouring to dye millet wholegrains and combines the coloured grains to doughs of all types. This results in a new style of bread that is fun and inviting for children, and also adults of all ages.

“The best thing since sliced bread”.

Wholegrains are an important part of a growing child’s diet as they provide them with energy and vital nutrients to get through the day. Wholegrains are a good source of fibre, iron, carbohydrates and other vitamins and minerals.
Wholegrain breads contains a dietary fibre content of up to four times greater than white breads and also contains more vitamins and proteins, yet health conscious parents often find it difficult to include enough wholegrain bread in their children’s diet as the common preference tends to be for white bread varieties offering less nutritional benefits.

“Using our patented method which combines the colours of nature and the goodness of grains, parents will find it a lot easier to give their kids a healthier diet".

Our invention applies the method of naturally colouring millet wholegrains and adding them to bread and other bread products such as wraps, rolls, focaccia and pita bread. Our method can also be used for biscuits, cakes, baked confectionery, muffins, scones, donuts, bagels , brioche and even pancakes.

“Puffed millet is used as a preferred wholegrain due to its high nutritional value and colour absorptive properties. Puffed millet is white in its natural form therefore making it ideal for the colouring process”.

Millet is more than just an interesting alternative to the more common grains . It is one of the oldest cultivated foods known to humans Millet is frequently described as an ancient grain, yet is one of the most underutilized groups of cereal grains, despite its uniquely high content of nutrients.
Millet is considered one of the worlds healthiest foods as it is packed with vitamins and minerals. Millet wholegrains are gluten-free and are considered rich sources of energy, carbohydrate and protein and contain high levels of B vitamins, calcium, iron, potassium, zinc, magnesium, fats and dietary fibre essential for health.

"Food colouring 'made by nature' has no equal”.

The puffed millet wholegrains are coloured with natural pigments. Natural food colouring have been used for centuries to colour food and originate from a wide range of food sources including vegetables, fruits, plants, minerals and other edible natural sources .
Colouring foods provide the most natural way to deliver colour. Natural food colouring is a healthier alternative to artificial colouring.
