fuel cell scooter
[Category : - DESIGN PATENTS- Biking- RENEWABLE ENERGY]
[Viewed 814 times]
Our engineers have developed a scooter based on fuel cells-electrochemical generators for direct conversion of chemical energy into electrical energy. Water is used as fuel for the chemical reaction in the fuel cell. The water is contained in a removable, replaceable cartridge, with a volume of 0.26 gallons. When the scooter starts, the water enters the fuel cell, where it generates enough electrical energy to power a 300-watt electric motor that drives the scooter at speeds of up to 28 miles per hour. The water supply in the cartridge is enough for a ride on a scooter for a distance of up to 30 miles. After the water is used up, the cartridge can be quickly replaced (30 seconds) with a spare one or removed, refilled with clean water and installed on the scooter. Advantages of our fuel cell design: noiseless operation; complete " 0 " no harmful emissions into the atmosphere; short start / stop time of the fuel cell; high speed of load change; wide range of power control; high reliability of the elements. Technical characteristics of the fuel cell: The basis of the fuel cell technology - PEMFC, with the applied know-how of our Company; Weight (with a water cartridge) - 3 kilograms. Technical characteristics of the scooter: Weight-16 kg (together with the fuel cell).
Top speed: 28 mph;
Maximum mileage at a single gas station: 30 miles (depending on the riding style, terrain, and weight of the cyclist).
Electric motor:Power 300 W.
The fuel cell is of its own design.
Backup power source: rechargeable Li-ion battery with a capacity of 150 Wh. Tank capacity (removable water cartridge): 0.26 gallons. The fuel cell scooter has significant competitive advantages: noiseless operation, complete absence of harmful emissions; high speed of refueling; safety.
