I have filed a Utility patent, application #17/133,538. My invention comprises of individually wrapped disposable protective barriers for the rim of a glass, mug, cup, etc. or a roll in a dispenser that allows you to tear off individual strips to use. There is also a reusable version. The unique features of my invention are that it is easy to carry and use as an individual or for a business establishment to distribute. The advantages of the Glass Guard are that it provides users with a protective barrier for the rim of a glass, mug or cup from contaminants, such as germs, viruses and bacteria, present on the surface of the drinking container.

With the heightened awareness to viruses and germs, it is more important than ever to protect yourself. There has also been an ongoing movement to eliminate straws. This is an opportune time to provide people the ability to protect themselves and the environment.
