The present invention describes about a self-rechargeable battery. The self-rechargeable battery comprises of an anode current collector, an anode layer, a cathode current collector, a cathode layer, a magnetic layer, a magnetic shield, an electrolyte and a separating membrane. The separating membrane separates the anode layer and the cathode layer. The separating membrane is positioned within the electrolyte. The battery is equipped with a magnetic layer to charge the battery thereby not requiring any external power supply to charge.The present invention is advantageous as it increases the life span of the battery, provides high efficiency and prevents the battery from over-discharging as there is no need for any external input power supply.
