TEMPERATURE SENSING AIR DIFFUSER
[Category : - Heating & Cooling]
[Viewed 706 times]
A temperature controlled air diffuser with a temperature-sensitive element alters the direction of the supply airstream passing through it and into a conditioned airspace, based on the temperature of the supply airstream.
The diffuser will provide better mixing within the controlled environment. Better mixing will in turn provide a higher comfort, lower heating and cooling costs while eliminating cold drafts.
The diffuser works by first sensing the temperature of the supply air. In heating mode, the diffuser will sense the warm air and modulate the deflector vanes to direct the warm air lower into the room. As the warm air flows into the space, the lower density of the supply air will cause it to rise and mix with the ambient air.
Conversely, in cooling mode, the diffuser will sense the cooler temperature of the supply air and adjust the turning vanes to allow the cooler air to be directed along the ceiling of the space where its higher density will cause it to fall and mix with the ambient air. All this is done within the diffuser itself. There is no wiring, batteries or conrol systems needed. Each unit operates independently of all the others.
