Wheelbarrow Fire Pit/Grill

The History:
The genesis of my design originated many years ago. My kids wanted a fire in the backyard to roast marshmallows so I figured why not use my old broken wheelbarrow as a fire pit. I removed the tray from its remains, bolted it to some old 4x4s with fire proof tile/brick between the tray and 4x4s so not to burn them and just like that… instant fire pit! We used it for over 10 years until one day rust finally took its toll so I started thinking about building another durable cheap fire pit. As someone who has experience working with metal I came up with a few designs but kept coming back to the tried and true wheelbarrow tray especially since my previous one lasted 20 years. Since I no longer have access to machining/welding equipment my build utilized off-the-shelf components from Home Depot. If I had access to equipment I would have done some of the elements differently but this restriction forced me to push for the most simple design/cost/build, so in my opinion I don’t think it came out too bad…
The Photo:
The picture shows the proof of concept (model). The core of the design is using two trays opposing each other, the upper being used as a spark arrestor. The model is mounted to concrete block for safety. A version that I will build this coming spring (2021) will be mounted on a dual-wheel wheelbarrow chassis with steel handles. The stability factor using a dual-wheel over a single-wheel is key plus it should be more visually appealing, looking closer to a store bought product. I figure for many people like myself we use a wheelbarrow only a couple times a year then it sits around unused, rusting away. This model has more usability and value either as a wheelbarrow or as a fire pit/grill switching when desired.
Conclusion:
My design/build was never about obtaining a patent, it was just a fun thing to do... I was actually thinking about producing a YouTube video explaining how to build one, but before I spent time on the video a thorough search was in order looking for prior art as I thought someone must of built one due to its simple design but upon conclusion, no examples could be found, this is when the thought of seeking a patent started. I was then curious to find the approximate production cost and a realistic retail market value, I based this value on average retail market cost of fire pits to see if someone were to manufacture a reasonable profit margin could be obtained, once I found this to be true then the time/expense/uncertainty of a patent made sense to pursue. If anyone else believes it has retail market potential and has the ability to bring to market let me know what you propose, if not, it’s OK… I’m content to just roast my marshmallows with it.
Thank You for your time…
