Gas-filled acoustic suspension speaker
[Category : - Audio - Video]
[Viewed 807 times]
An acoustic suspension speaker enclosure is filled with a heavy gas, which has a much lower sonic velocity than air. This allows the enclosure to operate at a much lower frequency, in direct proportional to the reduction in sonic velocity.
Financial informationI have dozens of other inventions that I plan to patent soon, some worth far more than this one. I may want royalty payments for those, but for this one, I just want a lump sum to help finance the others.
There is no question about the theory or practicality of this invention, but I have not yet built a prototype. I would be happy to work with the buyer on a consulting basis to help develop a marketable product. I have lots of ideas on how to streamline the manufacturing process to build the product and fill it with the heavy gas.
Music lovers and fans of home theater usually want powerful clean bass, but don't want big cumbersome subwoofers. This invention provides deeper bass in a smaller cabinet as part of a full-range speaker system for a simpler setup.
