The present invention generally relates to fixed and adjustable shower floor drains. More particularly, the present invention relates to replacing an existing shower floor drain and converting it to a quadrangular drain, without removing the existing drain assemblage, concrete and tile.
[0012] It has been recognized that it would be advantageous to develop a shower floor drain addition square cap converter that prevents the removal of the existing shower floor tile, concrete and drain assembly, “without bonding”; by means of bolting the drain assembly down or fastening it to the existing drain.
[0013] It has also been recognized that it would be advantageous to develop a shower floor drain addition square cap converter that is easily installed by simply removing the existing round shower drain grate and placing the shower drain addition unit on top of the existing shower drain assembly and tiled floor.
[0014] It has also been recognized that it would be advantageous to develop a shower floor drain addition square cap converter, which substitutes a round shower drain and converts it to a square drain without removing the existing drain assemblage.
[0015] It has also been recognized that it would be advantageous to develop a shower floor drain addition square cap converter, which allows an easy installation of an drain cap, by only removing the existing drain grate and simply drop in or set into the existing drain unit assembly, allowing for a supplementary layer of tile to be installed on the existing tiled floor.
