This invention automates a key component of local electric power distribution system, a traditional circuit breaker panel into an intelligent service panel and to enable it to function as an intelligent gateway to the power grid, an automatic local power distribution system, and an automatic local energy management center. Through integrated monitoring and controlling, the intelligent service panel can automatically control the power consumption and energy storage of local electric system according to real time situations. It will reduce unnecessary power consumption, simplify the structure of local grid-tied renewable energy system, and smooth out the fluctuation of the power generated from grid-tied renewable energy system, such as solar electric system due to weather variation. Therefore it can increase energy efficiency, reduce the renewable energy system cost, and improve the reliability and stability of the power grid with relative modest cost.
