Wearable Pill Box Reminder unit for anyone who is taking drug. WearApill uses technology to ensure safety, ease of use, an independent lifestyle.
PROBLEM WORTH SOLVING:
Although heir full benefits are often not realized because of growing problem of medication non-adherence, which causes up to 50 % of treatment failures. The New York Times reported that a lack of adherence causes nearly 125,000 deaths and costs the already strained healthcare system between $100–$289 billion a year. According to the National Council on Patient Information and Education. Poor medication adherence can lead to:
1. Unnecessary disease progression and complications.
2. Reduced functional abilities and quality of life.
3. Medication noncompliance can also lead to hospital stays—the average length of stay due to medication noncompliance is 4.2 days. In the United States, 12 percent of people don’t take their medication at all after they buy the prescription.
There is currently no way for caregivers, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to know if patients are taking their medications correctly. Poor Design: For most of the healthcare industry, people are treated as patients before people, and that is reflected in the design of medical devices. People feel stigmatized when using these products and as a result do not use them.
OUR SOLUTION:
There are currently no products in the market that lets you carry your pills on a box and wear that box on your wrist but also remind and talk to you about when to take the pills. WearApill will dispense the correct medication at the right time, and will notify the user of the medication's availability.
• Save people’s lives.
• Help people manage their med time.
• Feel confident of not forgetting your pills no matter where you are.
• Stay healthy.
• Reduce unnecessary medications cost.

2. Weekly pill boxes. Ezy Dose Weekly Push Button Pill Planner (the size of the boxes are too big that nobody wants to carry with plus that many people forget to take it with them)
3. Pill Reminder App by Medisafe (your alarm might go off and your pills won’t be with you).
4. Tinylogics is a smart pill box cost $69.99 (it is not wearable and many people forget to take it with them and that ends up by people forgetting to take their pills).
5. A smart medication tracking system (PillDrill) that cost $199.99. (it is not wearable and it is expensive and immensely difficult to carry them around).
6. Various electronic devices are available, including stands and caps that fit on the bottle and clocks or watches that can be set to alert a user when it is time to take their medicine. With my invention you do not have to worry about any of those. Pills on Wearable Pillbox Reminder unit and you are ready to go wherever you want.
Financial informationI am opening up to any form of partnership. My invention has not been previously sold or anything like that. The product addresses one of the biggest problems: getting their patients to take their medication on time, as well as helping family members and caregivers to track the patient adherence to medication remotely.
