The “SketchBox” design and patent portfolio offers several novel claims that marry the lightweight, portable tablet with the speed, efficiency, and inclusive functionality of a laptop. The claimed IP enhances a tablet with a combined auto-extending / retracting counterbalance and user handle, desktop “A” frame kickstand, and wall-mount kiosk assembly for any 3rd party tablet product, and more.
There are two (2) patents in this portfolio, to be sold together.
1) “Tablet Computer” - US 8749963
A tablet computer made to function as a laptop with keyboard and trackpack, with retractable balance / carry handle, a desktop stand, and wall-mount display mounting bracket.
2) “Housing for a Tablet Computer” - US 8749963
A means by which any tablet computer, such as the Apple iPad, may
be enclosed in a frame in order to function as a laptop with
keyboard and trackpack, with retractable balance / carry handle, a desktop stand, and wall-mount display mounting bracket.
Financial information
It is my intent to conduct a sale of the two patent portfolio.
As the original inventor, this will be the first sale.
The market potential is either a) bring a new tablet and keyboard combination to market with novel features and functions not yet available in today's otherwise seemingly crowded market; or an opportunity to enhance and build upon an existing product line with enhanced, novel features.
I am willing to consult with the purchaser to share additional IP and market go-to ideas, beyond the scope of the immediate patent.
