The growth of cities with increasing sealed surfaces and the expected climate changes make new approaches to solutions indispensable to meet the increased demands of the quality of life and environment. A contribution to the solution of these problems, which is already considered absolutely necessary by urban planning, is the greening of buildings, with the help of which, among other things, the urban heat island effect can be reduced (evaporative cooling of 680 kWh/m³!).

However, the retrofitting of existing flat roofs in the course of green roofs turns out to be problematic due to the additional static load caused by the green roof.
In contrast to green roofs, the forces can be transferred into the walls of the buildings or into the ground. In addition, façade greening offers more greenable areas than roof greening. A green façade makes an essential visual contribution to urban greening, whereas a green roof is less effective. A blatant disadvantage of façade greening is currently the costly care and maintenance due to poor accessibility, especially in multi-storey buildings. Here, specialist companies (facade climbers) and cost-intensive aids such as lifting platforms and cranes are required. This increased cost leads to a niche existence of façade greening up to now.

In order to overcome all these disadvantages of the previous façade greening, INTEWA has developed a completely new solution for a movable façade greening and applied for a patent. The new technology can, for example, be implemented from the low-cost DIY product bin to a highly complex professional system for large buildings. The company is looking for licensees as well as potential buyers. Within a running research and development project we are already devolping the mechanical and electrical solution with IOT you also can take high profit from. We offer the whole technology incl. the rigths. We are already in a development process and can offer prototypes soon as well.
We have identified a huge worldwide market potential of more than 500 Mio € since the facade greening is more and more going to become mandatory in larger cities. Furthermore the systems can be retofitted to any exisiting buildings. In the first step a system for around 25 m² is under development. The system is equipped with the mechanical and electrical components, We believe, that investors in the green building or greening companies can take the most profit. Since we are focussed on water reuse, we believe, that another investor or company can take more advantage from this invention. We are open for any kind of cooperation and really want this technology to become a large distribution and implementation.
