The present invention relates to a method for screening maternal urine samples for changes in the pattern of mass spectral fingerprinting which have been found to be characteristic of fetal aneuploidies such as Downs Syndrome and other anuploidies. the same method can also be used for screening for other disorders of early and late pregnancy.

The patent has been granted just as we have completed a $1,000,000 UK government and China Jiangsu collaboration to test over 8500 urine samples from pregnant women in China and the UK.
