Input Zone Enhancer and Method
[Category : - Security and alarms]
[Viewed 887 times]
A burglar alarm system with an input zone enhancer using a power source with random variable timing or voltage to supply the zone loop. The input zone enhancer measures the current flowing through a zone loop of a burglar control unit. A method includes providing random variable timing and a voltage to supply the zone loop.
Because the hardware zone loop is powered by a constant voltage level delivered by the burglary control unit or a zone expander, it is very easy to apply devices that can read and remember the
voltage level in the zone loop, and later, on a request, they feed it back to the zone loop. The case presented above is of such importance, that it needs to be prevented. This can be
accomplished by changing the way the zone loop is powered, from a DC with a constant voltage level to a random variable voltage level constantly changing over time, what increase the level of protection applied in industry, airports, gas pipes, power plants, water treatment pals and similar places..
Also the idea can be used in car's alarms also increasing level of protection.
