Shark deterrent device
[Category : - DESIGN PATENTS]
[Viewed 1218 times]
A shark deterrent device is disclosed. The device comprises at least two hollow cylindrical shafts, a tip, a twist-release mechanism, and at least one self-lock mechanism. The tip may be replaceable. The shark deterrent device is a retractable unit that is easy for a diver to carry and stow, and yet can be extended in order to deter a shark. The device is unlocked from its retracted position by twisting a collar, thereby unlocking the concentric shafts and allowing the unit to be fully extendable by hand. Once the unit is fully extended, a self-lock mechanism lock the unit to prevent it from retracting during use. The unit has a handle formed at one end of the outermost cylindrical shaft and a tip at the opposing end of the innermost cylindrical shaft. The tip may be replaceable and removed, and other useful tips may be attached.
Financial informationProduct:
SD1 or Shark Deterrent One is a telescopic baton of 30”08 inches long in the open position and 12”08 in the closed position. It will be made of gas infused plastic positively buoyant. It is designed to protect all open water users (specifically scuba divers) against shark’s attacks.
SD1 has 2 functions:
One: Shark repellent
If a Scuba Diver is attacked by a shark, the survival of the diver depends on what s/he can put between the shark and her/him. This SD1 is not a weapon but a deterrent. The shark will realize that this diver is not an easy prey and will leave.
Two: Secondary Flashlight.
It will be used as a dive Flashlight to see through corrals cracks and the LED light plus the SD1 extended will allow divers to see further than regular Flashlight.
Last: Will share an Executive business summary with Profit projection to potential buyers (once the NDA is signed)
It is a tool to deter shark to bite not a weapon!
