The EMag HydroJet was designed by a former Aerospace Engineer and utilizes an ingenious adaptation of the Archimedes Screw, surrounding it with and attaching it to a cylindrical sleeve that is embedded with permanent magnets, nearly free-floating and set within a sleek hydro-dynamic housing containing the coil windings that drive the screw/auger. Where a traditional Archimedes Screw rotates within a fixed cylinder, the EMag HydroJet screw/auger is permanently attached to the cylinder and it is the cylinder itself that rotates within the hydro-dynamic housing. Essentially, the EMag HydroJet is a brushless DC Motor that has been redesigned and re-purposed for the 21st century. Commercially available, existing technology, off-the-shelf ESC (Electronic Speed Control) is all that is needed to put effortless joystick digital speed control at the tip of the finger, in both forward and reverse.
